Solis focuses on serving simple, well-executed food with bold and uncompromising flavours. The menu is heavily influenced by Iberian and Latin American “Parilla” culture, where families and friends gather to grill meats and vegetables over open fires. Solis takes influence from both sides of The Atlantic – Spain, Portugal, Uruguay and Argentina.
Straight from the grill come spatchcock chicken with smoked Aji-Aji oil and flat-iron steak with peppery steak sauce, both served with Asador salad and crispy fries. Para Picar include spiced tuna devilled eggs (Huevos Rellenos), street-style corn on the cob, and crispy beef croquetas with caramelised onion. Bocadillos on the lunch menu comprise soft brioche rolls filled with a choice of grilled steak, onion and herb spread; chicken with garlicky Mojo Verde and Gordal olives; or beef meatballs, tomato salsa and scorched cheese. Don't miss the famously creamy cheesecake (Torta Queso) with berry sauce and wash it all down with sangria, Argentine and Urugyuan cocktails or a glass of Latin American wine.
